Five requirements for ink

Ink is a very important thing to print, so what are the indicators? Let's introduce the dream round silk screen for you.

1. Concentration: The ink concentration is an indicator of the pigment content, which generally accounts for about 20% of the total amount of ink. Generally, the ink concentration is determined by detecting the dyeing ability. When printing with the same amount of ink, the ink concentration is high, the color of the print is strong, and vice versa, and the color of the print is light. Especially in large-area printing, the influence of ink concentration on printing quality is particularly significant.

2. Fineness: The fineness of the ink indicates the pigment, the size of the filler and the uniformity of distribution in the binder. The fineness of the ink is directly related to the nature and particle size of the pigment. The finer the ink, the more stable the ink, and the stronger the point of printing the product. On the contrary, the printing plate is easy to print with low resistance, ink accumulation, dot vacancies, expansion and uncleanness.

3. Viscosity: The viscosity of the ink was tested using an ink viscometer. The value of the ink viscosity refers to the force separating the ink film between the two rolls of the viscometer. Too much or too little ink viscosity can affect print quality. In addition, the relative viscosity of each color ink should be selected according to the printing order. Under normal conditions, it is not necessary to adjust the viscosity of the ink. If adjustment is required, we can select the additive based on its viscosity and consistency.

4. Gloss: The gloss of an ink is the ratio of the regular reflection of a sample to the normal reflection of a standard plate at a particular source and angle, expressed as a percentage. In general, the higher the gloss, the better the printing effect. Although the gloss of the print is also related to the absorbency of the dampening liquid and paper used in printing, it is mainly determined by the ink. The nature of the ink depends primarily on the connecting pigments and pigments. The binder and pigment in the ink should have good printability, and the resin itself has high gloss. The ink has a high gloss when printed on paper.

5. Drying: The drying process of the offset printing ink on the paper is a process in which the ink changes from a highly fluid non-polar gel to a fixed state. In general, offset inks can be divided into two indicators: fixing speed and oxidized conjunctiva drying. Currently, offset inks are resin based and have a fast fixing speed. In theory, the faster the first drying, the better, but the first drying too fast will affect the gloss of the print. Typically, about 80% of the ink conjunctiva is dried for 16 to 30 hours.
