How to judge that the UV ink has reached the exact dry state

1. How to measure/determine the dry state of UV ink?

Drying UV inks, we need to care about three things:

a. Do not dry poorly

b. Don't over dry

c. Adhesion of ink and coffin

2, how to measure / judge the dryness of UV ink drying

Scratch the surface of the ink layer with nails and appear to fall off the ink

Sticking/drawing with a specific tape will pull up the surface ink layer

Use cotton swabs + isopropyl alcohol or acetone to apply the surface of the ink layer, and the ink can be dissolved.

Measurement using a friction coefficient meter, the display number is high (the better the ink is dried, the smoother the surface, the lower the friction coefficient)

3. How to measure/determine the phenomenon and detection of UV ink drying over-head

After the UV ink is printed, the paper is folded and folded, and the ink layer is broken and peeled off at the folded portion.

Use a manual cutter to cut the paper and peel off the ink on the cut surface

Using a similar indentation line roller, press hard on the paper surface, and after the fold line is broken, the crease appears to be peeled off.

4, ink adhesion to the substrate inspection

Paper substrate: Use a special tape to stick/drawing the ink surface. If the ink can be pulled up together with the surface of the backing paper, the ink and paper have good adhesion.

Gold and silver cardboard substrate: use 100-gauge knife + 3M standard tape to pull the ink surface. If the ink can be pulled up together with the gold-silver cardboard surface, the ink and paper have good adhesion.

Plastic substrate: use 100-gauge knife + 3M standard tape to draw the surface of the ink; if only the upper layer of the ink is pulled up, the ink color still has a large residual plastic surface, indicating good adhesion between ink and plastic.

5, UV ink dry state

No dryness

No over-drying

The adhesion of the ink to the substrate is good.
