Silk screen printing inks do not panic! We will help you solve it

During the use of screen printing inks, problems such as foaming, blocking, pinholes, etc. often occur. Don't panic, let's help you solve it.

1, foaming

The reason is that the printing viscosity is too high, the drying is too fast, the screen and the substrate are out of the rush, the layout is poor, and the ink itself has problems. You can take the appropriate measures to adjust, or add the right amount of defoamer and replace the ink.

2, Dusit Edition

The reasons are too fast drying, too fast printing speed, high printing viscosity, poor use and improper diluent, release agent, ink fineness or impurities caused by blocking. The drying speed should be adjusted appropriately or the ink and thinner should be replaced.

3, pinhole

The reason is that the printed body is too smooth, the surface of the substrate has a protective layer of grease or impurities, and the ink itself is poor. Therefore, it is necessary to pre-treat the surface of the printed matter, add a leveling agent or replace the excellent ink.

4, poor adhesion

Since materials such as pe, pp, and aluminum foil have relatively low chemical polarity or are too smooth, they are generally subjected to electric spark, flame, strong acid immersion, etc., to improve the surface tension of the printed surface. After the ink film of the two-component ink is cured, it is cross-linked into a dense and strong ink film due to a chemical reaction, and the fully cured ink film is difficult to be etched by the solvent, so when the color is printed, the background color is dried. Printable, other factors can be adjusted to adjust the printing tool.

5, drawing

The reason is that the viscosity is too high, the drying is too fast, and the resin used in the ink is improperly mixed with the solvent. Use a suitable solvent to adjust the proper viscosity or to replace good inks.

6, whitish or printed surface is foggy

The reason is that the diluent contains moisture, the humidity of the printing environment is high, or the printing ink itself is poor. When the printing surface is dry, the solvent volatilizes to absorb the surrounding heat, causing the local water vapor to solidify inside the ink film or cause white atomization on the surface. Therefore, the appropriate drying speed or space humidity should be selected, or the excellent ink should be replaced.
