How does the silk screen factory color control the screen printing ink?

The so-called color grading is to combine two or more colors of ink according to different addition ratios to form a combination of colors to bring out ever-changing colors.

 Therefore, the early stage must be adjusted according to the color indicated by the original, and the sample is debugged. When the color difference between the color and the original is small or equal, it can be deployed in large quantities, the time should be short, and the amount should be adjusted appropriately. Too little adjustment will cause downtime and the ink color will be different, which will affect the normal production. Too much will cause unnecessary waste.

Screen printing ink color adjustment is usually carried out in places where the light is stable or the light is not directly irradiated. In this case, the color is more accurate.

The following is the general direction of the color grading we summarized for everyone to test:

White + black = grey

Black + Red + Yellow = Brown

Blue + yellow = green

Blue + red = purple

Blue + white = light blue

Red + white = pink

Dark green + yellow = grass green

In addition, screen printing inks also require special colors such as fluorescent yellow, fluorescent pink, fluorescent blue and so on.

Some points to note when adjusting screen printing ink

1. When mixing inks, try to add as few inks of different colors as possible. The fewer the types of colored inks, the better the mixing effect.

2. Adopting the principle of "from light to deep", no matter the preparation of light or bright color inks, when the hue is close to the model, be careful. It is better not to mix and call inks produced by different manufacturers. Try to use inks of different colors from the same manufacturer for color mixing. Otherwise, uneven color tone will occur. In severe cases, condensation will occur and the ink will be scrapped.

3. Some screen printing inks are dried by drying. The lighter colors will become lighter than the non-dry ones, and the darker colors will be darker after drying. In addition, the color tone of the ink is different before and after drying during printing, which is a problem that cannot be ignored.

Practical experience tells us that through natural drying (solvent volatile ink), the substrate is plastic, metal, paper, glass, etc., and the color will not change;

However, if the coloring material is used for ceramics, it can only be colored by experience because it develops color after burning and oxidation. For screen printing inks that are dried by heat curing or light curing, the color changes in depth, and the color after heat curing or light curing should prevail. For example, glass high-temperature screen printing ink, the color before printing and the color after tempering are inconsistent.

In addition, it should be emphasized that all the adjusted colors need to be proofread on the substrate to be screen-printed. The same color is printed on different materials, and the color effect is different. Hope everyone knows.
