Screen printing ink, as the name suggests, refers to all the inks used in screen printing. Screen printing inks sometimes have some problems in the application experience. The following small series gives you an inventory of the faults and treatments that can often be seen in the experience of screen printing inks:
1. Small bubbles during printing
Analysis of the cause: The ink is too thick, there is air in the ink, the printing speed is too fast, and the amount of ink is too much.
Solution: Add thinner to the ink, let the ink be released until the air is released, reduce the printing speed, and replace the rubber with a higher hardness.
2. Pinhole / trachoma
Analysis of the cause: The ink is too thin, there are small holes on the screen, the surface of the substrate is dusty, the pressure of the squeegee is too large, the mesh distance is not suitable, and the screen tension is too low.
Solution: Add new ink, plug holes, clean the surface of the substrate, reduce the pressure of the squeegee, increase the mesh distance, and check the tension of the screen.
3. Graphic defects after printing
Analysis of the cause: the screen is not clean, the surface of the substrate is not clean
Solution: Check the screen, clean the workplace and increase the humidity, clean the surface of the substrate
4. The graphic clarity is not enough after printing
Analysis of the cause: the ink is too thin, the pressure of the ink returning knife is too large, the round scraping head, the mesh distance is not suitable, and the static electricity acts.
Solution: Add new ink, reduce the pressure of the ink returning knife, replace the appropriate squeegee, increase the mesh distance, and increase the method of removing static electricity.
5. Uneven ink
Analysis of the causes: surface defects of the substrate, uneven ink, poor ink transparency or too thin.
Solution: Improve the surface condition of the substrate or first print a layer of transparent oil to make a base; the ink is evenly distributed, the ink is evenly printed during printing, and the thinner is reduced.
6. Ink dry network and blocking network
Reason analysis: The ink is too thick, the ink particles are too thick, the room temperature is too high, the screen printing is poor, the squeegee pressure is too large, the mesh distance is small, and the squeegee hardness is not enough.
Solution: Clean the screen and dilute the ink, filter the ink, increase the damping solvent, adjust the exposure parameters and the plate, adjust the pressure of the squeegee, adjust the mesh distance, and change the squeegee with higher hardness.
