What is a mirror screen printing ink?

Mirrored silver ink is usually printed on the back of a transparent plastic sheet (such as PC/PET/PVC/PMMA). When viewed from the front, it can be mirrored or smoothed with a bronzing surface. Mirror silver ink is widely used in washing machines, refrigerators, microwave ovens, and operation panels. Currently, mirror silver ink is used in the manufacture of in-mold labels (such as mobile phones, car dashboards, and various decorative instrument panels or panels). . The mirror silver ink is a solvent-evaporated dry ink made of a special metal powder mixed with a plastic resin.

Mirror silver ink should pay attention to the following points when printing:

1. In the screen printing type ink, except for a small amount of resin and flake aluminum powder pigment, the solvent accounts for a lot of mirror ink, so the viscosity of the mirror ink is very low, and the parallel lift screen is not used when silk screen printing, so that it is as thin as water. The ink is always on the screen, avoiding or reducing the normal effect of the screen on the silk screen.

2. If printing with a screen printing machine is used, the metal ink returning blade should be changed to a rubber ink returning blade to evenly coat the ink on the screen.

3. During the printing process, the mirror ink is very easy to dry. In addition to blocking the net, the dry mirror ink is deposited on the net, which becomes silver residue and reduces the mirror effect of the printed matter. Therefore, the extent to which the specular ink is applied on the web is controlled as much as possible within the print area size close to the effective image.
